CalmShift App Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the CalmShift app ("the app") published by t-apps ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies.
2. What the app is, and what it is not
CalmShift offers tools for people who want to stop smoking or vaping: a quit timer and savings tracker, craving logs, breathing and crisis exercises, badges, reminders and an AI coach.
The app is not a medical device and does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Health information in the app is general information based on what the World Health Organization (WHO) and the NHS publish; timelines differ from person to person. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist about stopping smoking or vaping, especially if you are pregnant, take medication or have a health condition. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. The AI coach
The AI coach's replies are written by an AI model (OpenAI). Your messages are sent to OpenAI only after you agree to it in the app. Replies can be wrong or incomplete, and they are not professional advice. Do not rely on them for medical, legal or emergency decisions.
Do not use the coach to create harmful, unlawful or abusive content. We may limit the number of messages, and free users have a daily message limit.
4. Your account
Some features need an account (Google, Apple or email sign-in). You are responsible for your sign-in details and for what happens in your account. You can delete your account and its data from the app's settings at any time.
5. Premium subscription
- CalmShift Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play or the App Store. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it before the period ends. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. After cancelling you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their own refund policies.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app only for personal, lawful purposes. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, interfere with its services, or try to get around its limits or its subscription checks.
7. Content and ownership
The app, its design, texts and images belong to t-apps or its licensors. The notes and logs you enter stay yours; you allow us to store and process them only to run the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Privacy
How we handle your data is explained in the CalmShift privacy policy.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error free or suitable for your purpose. We may change, suspend or end features, and we may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", and t-apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app or the AI coach. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under the consumer law of your country.
11. Contact
